Tonight I went into the boys room and couldn't find Bradley.
He had told me when I put him to bed that he would be sleeping on the floor tonight, to which I replied 'great! NOW GO TO SLEEP!'
So you can only imagine how surprised I was when I couldn't find him on the floor...or on his bed...or in the closet, only to then look at Colter's bed! And there was Bradley sleeping right on top of Colter! What's even more crazy is why Colter didn't wake up and get mad at Bradley for

The Happening Page...
I was reading a blog and couldn't help but relate!...and after reading several of my friends blogs about the crazy and exciting things that are going on in their lives I figured this was worth creating a link to so that (hopefully) they will relate and feel better about life. Let this be a balm! If it does nothing for you, then I'll have to reach through cyberspace and squeeze you with one of my biggest hugs!
Enjoy the read!

The Special today is: Zucchini Soup
My Grandma Baker gave me this recipe (and I have lots of zucchini (finally!)), so today I made it up and took it to our neighborhood potluck. It was a hit. I think everyone liked it.
I love finding new recipes to use foods in a different way. I've always thought of zucchini as being just for bread! My view is different now. Zucchini is great! Why do so many people complain about and try to pawn off on everyone their zucchini? They must not have enough good recipes to use it!
Zucchini Soup:
2 Large Onion, chopped
1 1/2 Pounds Zucchini, chopped
3 Cups Chicken Broth
Salt and Pepper, to taste
Saute onion and cook down a little in a small amount of broth. Add zucchini and cook until zucchini is tender. Blend. Return to saucepan and add chicken broth. Simmer until ready to serve. Salt and pepper to taste.
If you make this and like it, let me know!

Try not to laugh...I dare you!
oh, so funny! This is Bradley with his cousin Kailey.
I didn't have the heart to tell them there was a better way to see who was taller...back to back! instead of faces smashed together!

Happy Birthday Dallas!
I think because we just celebrated Aundrea's birthday Dallas has been coming up with lots of ideas for her birthday dinner. First she wanted Lima Beans and Ham (her absolute favorite, but guess what...I don't know how to make it! Grandpa does!),
then she settled on Navajo Tacos.
Just as a side note...Today was Aundrea's first time officially fasting for fast Sunday. She did great. Dallas was so excited to have a 'kid' partner to fast with. It was a great morning and day. So Dallas's choice for dinner was the perfect dinner to end a great fast.
Now, my chance to reflect back 11 years!
I remember being told not to hurry to the hospital with your first baby because they usually last longer. I had gone into labor thursday night and labored until Dave went to work friday morning. I didn't want to wake him until I couldn't handle the pain, but by the time he woke up the contractions had stopped. While Dave was at work I was busy at home getting the house cleaned and the final shopping done (I wasn't due for another week, but who knew when it might really happen). That night around midnight my labor started AGAIN. This time after a few hours I woke Dave so that he could help me through each contraction. By noon on Saturday I decided it might be a good idea to call the hospital to see which Midwife was on call. (there was one that I absolutely hated, and if she was on call I was determined not to go to the hospital! silly pregnancy hormones, right?) After finding out the midwife on call was Alexander we decided to head off to the hospital. I remember it was raining and we drove over what seemed like a thousand pot holes! Upon arriving we discovered that the midwife on call was the one I disliked (her last name was Alexander, I didn't know that!). My contractions were 5 minutes apart from the beginningof labor to the end. The contractions were hard, but not really super painful. The best way to labor un-medicated! I was progressing very slowly, only 1 centimeter every other hour! By Saturday evening it had begun lightly snowing. I had taken a CD to the hospital to listen to and the song that played while she was born was very awesome! It was Deck the Halls, on Kurt Bestors Christmas CD. It was the perfect setting to have a baby! Early Sunday morning Dallas was born! She was born at 1:54am and weighed 7lbs 11oz and was 20 1/2 inches long. She was beautiful and perfect.
In so many ways she is more beautiful and perfect now! She is blossoming into such a wonderful young woman! I am enjoying this journey with her as she grows and matures.
There is never a dull moment when Dallas is around!
I love you Dallas!

Baptism Day!
If it looks like she was a little nervous...she was.
(do you just love Dave's lapel's?...go 70's)
(do you just love Dave's lapel's?...go 70's)
Today was awesome! Today was great. Today Aundrea entered the gate to the 'straight and narrow' path, Baptism. We are so proud of Aundrea and her choice to follow Jesus Christ's example. We love you Aundrea!
A Non-Birthday Party for Dall
This year we aren't having a birthday party for Dallas. :) But we told her she could have a friend or two over for a movie night. So tonight Dallas had a friend over and this is just a short video of some of their sillyness. They truly act as if they might 'almost' be teenagers! Happy Birthday tomorrow, Dallas! I love you! (even if you are a bit silly!)

I've been Tagged!
I should have seen this coming! After reading Amy's blog and seeing that she'd been tagged, I knew I was going to be had! No hurt feelings Amy, I still love you. So to all my viewers, I get to air my weird/silly facts about myself. Now for clarification, I do not intend to share with you anything embarrassing or too personal. Ok, well maybe that's a lie, seeing how this is all personal, it is about me!1. I love Ironed sheets! This hasn't always been the case, but a few years ago I started ironing my sheets after they were washed and dried. There is something so irresistible and welcoming to freshly ironed sheets. I've been teased for doing this, and it's OK with me if you think I'm weird. I like it here(being weird).
2. When unloading the dishwasher and putting away my plastic cups and plates they HAVE to be put in rainbow order (reds, yellow, greens, blues, purple). And my silverware have to put in a certain way! Ok, the truth is...I load them into the dishwasher a certain way too. Silly? I know.
3. I love vacuum marks. When my girls were younger and wanting to learn to use the vacuum I really struggled letting them, because I was afraid it wouldn't look like the way I do it. I love vacuum marks! And I have been known to ask my kids to stay out of a certain room for awhile just so I could enjoy the vacuum marks longer. My boys love running back and forth between their beds when I vacuum (which ruins the marks), so I've had to relax my feelings some because its a silly thing to get upset with them over :)
4. Not only am I a candy notzi (which many of you already know), but I am a money notzi. I go online EVERY day and reconcile my bank accounts. This past spring when checking one of our accounts I noticed a transaction that I didn't have record of so I called Dave and asked him about it...turns out he was just leaving the place where the transaction occurred . He was so shocked that I had to information already.
5. I love oreo's! So much that when I buy them it is by the BOX, you know the kind you get at Costco? I have been known and seen often sitting on the couch at night after the kids go to bed eating a whole sleeve of them by myself. I don't share with Dave...if he wants some he can go get his own sleeve!
6. I HATE and have a TERRIBLE fear of helicopters!! You can call it post-traumatic stress. I have known about this fear since I was life-flighted as a youth, but not being exposed to them often its something that I sometimes forget. A few years ago I took my daughters to the Scarecrow festival for my daughters birthday, and while we were there a helicopter landed. My husband was on this helicopter taking aerial photos of the festival and I being a good wife told him I'd be waiting for him to land and would take photos of his arrival. It was not 50 feet from the ground when all of a sudden I started having a panic attack! The sound, the vibration, the thudding feeling in my body from the helicopter collapsed me into a puddle of tears in front of my daughters, their friends and everyone else at the festival.
7. When I was eight years old I had a brain tumor which killed a forth of my brain...doesn't that explain it all?
Now I tag, in alphabetical order, Amy, Angie, Celeste, Emily and Sarah. Care to play along?

From the mouth of Babes!
In preparation for Aundrea's upcoming baptism our topic tonight for FHE was on Baptism. We were explaining to Bradley and Colter what was going to be taking place when the baptism happens and what Aundrea needs to know about her promises that she is going to make. Dave very seriously asked Bradley if he could think of anything Aundrea would need to know about Baptism. Bradley response was awesome! ..."she needs to know she's going to go under the water with her church clothes on."
What would we do with out him? Life would be so boring!

What's my hair color...really!
| I'm happy to say I love the results! I would have been worried if it had come back that I should be a blonde! (no offense to the blondes!) Check out the link and then post the results on your blog. Your Hair Should Be Brown |

Wordle
Beethoven & Mozart
Last week we inherited a piano. Not only do my kids love it, but look how well they play already!
No, really, my girls are so excited! I've been trying to teach them which keys are what, and we have some simple piano books with songs they can play! They spend time every day perfecting the songs they know. Next, I need to teach them how to read music. (with out the help of the fingering diagrams)

This is for you Grandma!
This is Sparky. We babysat him while Dave's parents went out of town. Sparky is a 'special' dog. Not only is he old (13years), and a little overweight, but he is also a diabetic. We had to give him two shots a day, which most of you would be proud to know I gave him. (needles aren't my thing!)
One of my dogs, Prilla wanted to eat him alive and wouldn't leave him alone the whole time he was here! It's a wonder he didn't kill over just of fright of Prilla.
So, Grandma, enjoy the pictures!
