Ya, they have an App for that!!

So you know how everyone is making such a big deal about all the apps you can put on your I-touch? Well last night Dave downloaded an app for the boys. It's called Atomic Fart! They've had a great morning walking around with headphones listening to farts. They laugh and they laugh and then listen again.

Such a boy thing! :)

The Important thing about Valentines Day

as promised, here it is...Aundrea's Valentine interpretation.

The important thing about Valentine Day is that you give cards. You give candy too. The valentine colors are pink, white and purple. In 2nd grade we give valentines to the class, it is fun.We make heart people and hang them up in our class.
But the important thing about Valentine's day is that you give cards.

By Aundrea Ward

...notice there was no mention of love? That will come as she ages :) As for now, it's all about cards and candy! Hurray!

Valentine Funnies

...here we go again! Another original 'funny story' by Aundrea!

This is similar to the Thanksgiving story she made up. 6 cartoon pictures with caption bubbles for Aundrea to write her own story :) I will explain each of the 6 picture windows before sharing her story.
1st picture is of Cupid flying over a neighborhood with a bow and 'toilet bowl plunger' arrow.
2nd picture is a boy sitting on a park bench, hunched over and resting his chin in his hand.
3rd picture is of the 'toilet bowl plunger' arrow stuck to the boys head, with cupid hovering over him.
4th picture is the boy chasing after cupid with 'toilet bowl plunger' arrow in hand and cupid flying away fast.
5th picture, a little girl tapping the boy on the shoulder as he sits on the curb rubbing his eyes.
6th picture, boy with bandaid on forehead, holding the arrow, girls hugging the boy around his shoulder and they are both smiling. Phew! Describing it may be harder that coming up with the story :)

1st picture 'I will see what this does.'
2nd picture 'I am going to be mean to Suzy today.'
3rd picture 'That hurt bad!'
4th picture 'I'll get you!'
5th picture 'I am very dizzy!'
6th picture 'I want to be nice to Suzy.'

more to come...she's also writen a story about 'The important thing about Valentines Day'.

but, you'll have to wait! Dinner is calling...or should I say the kids are tantruming? :)

Macaroni & Cheese

You know your kids are growing when 1 box of Macaroni & Cheese doesn't feed them all anymore!
Man I'm going to miss those days! :(

Graduating...almost!

Today Colter went to his evaluation to see if he fit the criteria for the 'new' preschool class for 3 year olds. He has been going to a special preschool, but as soon as he turns three (April Fool's day) he has to move on to another preschool for 'older' kids. His speech therapist this past November did an assessment, but really discouraged me that he was low enough in his percentages to qualify for the new preschool. I really thought about canceling the appointment knowing he wouldn't qualify, but then decided to see how he did and be proud of whatever percentage they gave him. In order to qualify he needed to be in the 1 percentile in speech/language, his speech therapist thought he was on an 8 percent level, which isn't great, but doesn't qualify.
Dave took Colter to the appointment today. Colter performed fabulously! He was very focused and did everything he should have...except speak! While Dave and Colter waited they tallied up his score...and he was in the 1 percentile!!! I am happy that he is going to continue receiving help with his speech! I know that if we keep at it we can catch him up before he goes to Kindergarten.
April 1st is fast approaching and Colter only goes to his 2 year old preschool 7 more times. His speech therapist that comes to our house only has 3 or 4 more visits. I'm going to miss Mrs. Aubrey and Janeen! That have been very influentual for me and for Colter. So happy they have played such an important role in Colters development! :)
